Today we went for a really long walk to the cemetery. Along the way we saw stopped to talk about a famous writer from Neepawa called Margaret Laurence. We saw an injured pigeon behind the Yellowhead Centre. There was also a big pile of snow from the zamboni! It was a very cold day because the wind was blowing and it was even snowing a little. We saw some ice, and lots of spruce trees, and a man pruning the spruce trees with a really long handled chainsaw. We saw a statue of an angel that Margaret Laurence might have used for an idea to write one of her books. We also found her tombstone. We saw many soldiers' graves. The view from there was beautiful. The river below was frozen. On the way home we stopped at the Yellowhead to warm up. We were glad to get back to school.

Mrs. MacPhee
I've been teaching for over 20 years in three different provinces. Most of those years have been in the primary grades. I love teaching grade one because of the dramatic change I get to see in the children from the beginning of the year to the end of June. It truly is amazing! Archives
